External Users should be able to use the "My Notes" Widget within a external community

We notice that an External Users can not take notices in the "My Notes" Widget but we would request to make this feature working for external users.

This feature is popular with our internal users and should be used by a large number of external users, now.

We've put this widget in multiple external communities. It is designed to help all users (external and internal users) remember things they still have to do in the community.


We also have the widget customized so that Hyperlinks can also be placed in widgets that link to files folders, for example. Now we have to realize that this customization was unnecessary, because we can't make it available to external users.

In the logs we see that the external user has no access to the activities "Todolist" of himself at all. The "My Notes" widget writes the data to The Todolist of the Activities application. However, the external user generally comes to the following link: https://<CONNECTIONS>/activities/service/html/mainpage#todolist"

    The customer is greatly missing this feature in connections which they have already shared with HCL over the email.

    Exactly! This is a very important Feature!

    The problem here is that the external user has no access to the own activity "Todos" database. Therefore, no to dos can be created via the my notes widget.

    However, external users cannot create "To dos" in the community with the widget, as these todos are stored in their own activities database.

    Either you rebuild the widget so that the data is stored in the activities app of the community or you give external users access to your own activities.
