CURRENT FUNCTIONALITY:
In Orient Me, it's not possible to add communities to Important To Me (ITM) bar that you are not a member of.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Go into orient me and click on the + button in the Important to me bar.
2. Search for a community that you are NOT a member of.
=> Nothing is found.
REQUESTED FUNCTIONALITY:
Request so that any community (except restricted ones that you are not a member of) can be found by and added to the important to me bar.
REASON FOR CHANGE:
It's currently possible to add any profile to the ITM bar (doesn't matter if you follow this person or not or if it's a network contact).
We expect the same behavior for people and communities. That is: I can add anything independent of the fact if I am a member of the community.
MORE INFO:
There was a Support Ticket open for this -> TS001079746.
The issue was sent to L3 and the following internal ticket was opened:
https://github.ibm.com/connections/connections-planning/issues/9724
Development reviewed and deemed it as Working As Designed.
Yes, please fix that. It's not clear for a user why I can just add any person (followed or not followed doesn't matter), but for communities it does not work the same way ..
