For some deployments it would be helpful if a link that i tap on opens in in either Safari or another App. For some links still embedded is preferred.
Idea: Create a domain whitelist for handing over to Operating System
Example Scenario:
Today, Connections Mobile accesses Connections via Per-APP-VPN successfully. For some other intranet pages (same domain) the embedded WebView is the perfect solution since the embedded WebView leverages the Per-App-VPN and even SSO.
Now there are some internal websites which are represented via an App on the device. If the server contains there required information, iOS would switch to the app - but for that the current implementation of the link-behaviour needs to be modified.
Result: Apps are launched (and access also via Per-App-VPN the server.
Next: A link to an internet page is today not possible since the access is not granted via the VPN tunnel.
But if all "Not whitelisted" Domains would simply open to Safari, this would be great.
